About our slab doors

A slab style kitchen door, also called a flat door, is one flat piece with no frame or panel. The only detail is the edge, square or bevelled, so the colour and finish do the work. Slab doors suit modern and minimal kitchens.

Prefer a frame? See our shaker doors. Want no handles either? Our handleless doors include flat doors with the grip built into the edge.

Which slab range is right for you?

Our three slab ranges differ only at the edge.

  • Venice: square edges, for a simple, minimal look.

  • Pisa: a small, straight bevel round the edge, for a crisp outline.

  • Lincoln: a wider, softly rounded bevel, for a softer look.

Sizes, colours and finishes

Every door and drawer front is 18mm vinyl-wrapped MDF, made to your sizes. Doors are made up to 2540mm high and 1200mm wide, and drawer fronts from 60mm high. Not sure how to measure? Follow our step-by-step measuring guide.

Choose from over 50 colours in five finishes: Supermatt, Paint Flow Matt, Satin, Woodgrain and Paint Ready. Paint Flow Matt has a light brushed texture, so it looks like a hand-painted door. Satin has a soft sheen, and Woodgrain has the look of real wood. Paint Ready is wrapped in a paintable vinyl, ready for you to paint or spray in any colour you like.

All three slab ranges also come in high gloss, in White, Cream, Light Grey, Dust Grey and Cashmere.

Drawer fronts match the doors: flat, with the same edge. Slab doors have no design to lose, so even the narrowest door looks the same as the rest.

Questions about slab kitchen doors

Will slab doors fit my IKEA or Howdens units?

Yes, every door is made to the sizes you give us, so it fits Howdens, IKEA, Magnet, B&Q and other standard units. Add your hinge positions to your order and we'll drill the holes for free.

How do I measure for new slab doors?

Measure the height and width of each door and drawer front in millimetres, and check every size twice. Our measuring guide takes you through it step by step.

How much does it cost to replace slab doors?

Most kitchens cost about £850 to £2,100, depending on size:

  • Small kitchen, about £850: 10 doors, 3 drawer fronts, 1 plinth, 13 handles, 20 hinges
  • Medium kitchen, about £1,350: 15 doors, 4 drawer fronts, 2 plinths, 19 handles, 30 hinges
  • Large kitchen, about £2,100: 25 doors, 5 drawer fronts, 3 plinths, 30 handles, 50 hinges

What's the difference between the three slab doors?

Only the edge. Venice has a square edge, Pisa a straight bevel and Lincoln a rounded bevel. All three come in high gloss.

Do slab doors come in high gloss?

Yes, all three slab ranges come in high gloss, in White, Cream, Light Grey, Dust Grey and Cashmere. A flat door shows gloss at its best, because nothing breaks up the reflection. The back of each door is in a matching matt.

Can I paint slab doors?

Yes, if you choose the Paint Ready finish. It's wrapped in a paintable vinyl, ready for you to paint or spray in any colour you like, and it comes in all 3 slab ranges.

How long until slab doors arrive?

About 15 working days from your order. It can take a little longer around Easter, the summer holidays and Christmas, and we'll let you know if it does.
