Soft-close hinges
Worn hinges can make even new kitchen doors bang, sag and sit out of line. Our Hettich soft-close kitchen door hinges come in 110° for standard cupboards and 165° for corner units. They close softly and quietly, adjust three ways so every door lines up, and have a 20-year guarantee. Add them to each door as you order it, and we'll drill the hinge holes free, in the same place as on your old doors.

Measuring hinge hole positions
If you'd like pre-drilled hinge holes on your new doors, you'll need to give us two simple measurements when you order. For each of your existing doors, measure from the top edge and from the bottom edge to the centre of the hinge cup.
It's often helpful to make a small pencil mark at the centre of the hinge first and then measure to that. You type these two measurements in when you choose hinge hole drilling.
Adding hinges to your order
You can add hinges to each door as you order it. Hinges are only available with doors we drill.
- Choose Yes for hinge hole drilling. We drill the holes for free.
- Choose the drilling side. Pick Left, Right, Top or Bottom, as you look at the front of the closed door.
- Enter your hinge hole positions. Measure in mm from the edge of the door to the centre of each hinge hole.
- Choose your hinges. Pick Standard 110° or Wide Angle 165°. You get one hinge for each hole.
Each hinge comes with its mounting plate.
Hinge holes for taller doors
Taller doors need more hinges to hang straight. We recommend:
- 2 hinges on doors up to 1000mm high
- 3 hinges on doors from 1000mm to 1700mm high
- 4 hinges on doors over 1700mm high
For 3 hinges, tick "Add centre hinge hole" and enter where the middle hinge hole goes, measured from the top or the bottom of the door. It doesn't have to be in the exact centre: measure where the middle hinge is on your old door.
For 4 hinges, tick "Add extra hinge holes" and enter the second hinge hole from the top and the second from the bottom.
