About our plinths, panels and trims

New doors change the fronts. Panels and trims finish the rest: the cabinet sides you can see, the gaps next to walls and appliances, the strip along the floor and the edge along the top. They come in the same colours as our doors, so the whole kitchen looks new, not just the doors.

Made to measure or cut to fit

Panels are cut to the sizes you give us, in 18mm MDF, the same as our doors. Plinths come in 2540mm lengths, and cornice and rail in 2745mm lengths; you cut them to fit your run on the day. We trim the plinth height to anything from 100 to 200mm for free.

Measuring

Measure panels in millimetres, height first, then width. For plinth, cornice and rail, add up the length of each run and round up to whole lengths; our measuring guide covers every part and our fitting guides show how each one goes on.

Questions about plinths, panels and trims

Will panels and plinths match my doors?

Yes, they come in the same colours and finishes as our doors, so the whole kitchen matches from end to end. The only exception is the T&G end panel, which doesn't come in high gloss.

Do I need an end panel or a filler panel?

An end panel covers the whole side of a cabinet, and a filler panel closes a narrow gap, up to 200mm wide, next to a wall or an appliance. They're the same panel, just made to a different size.

What is an appliance panel for?

An appliance panel fills the space above or below a built-in oven or microwave, or above an integrated fridge, in the same colour as your doors. It's made to measure, up to 1200mm wide.

Will I need to cut them?

Panels arrive made to the size you order. If you add 40mm to an end or filler panel for an uneven wall, as our measuring guide suggests, you trim it to fit (this is called scribing). Plinths, cornice and rail come in lengths you cut on site. If you're not 100% confident, get some help from a friend or someone who fits kitchens.

How are panels priced?

Panels are priced by size, and the price is the same in every colour. Enter your sizes on the product page and you'll see the price before you order.

How long are panels and trims guaranteed for?

Panels, plinths, cornice, rail and corner posts have the same 6-year guarantee as our doors.
