About our grooved doors

A grooved style kitchen door has a level face, with grooves cut into it instead of a raised frame. From across the room it looks framed, or like tongue-and-groove. Grooved doors work in modern and cottage kitchens.

Which grooved range is right for you?

Our 4 grooved ranges differ in where the groove is cut and how it's shaped.

  • Euroline: a fine rounded groove cut 38mm in, close to the rim, with softly rounded edges, so the border is slim.

  • Dalton: a fine V-shaped groove cut 70mm in from the edge, drawing a neat rectangle on a level face. The plainest of the four.

  • Ashford: a rounded groove cut 74mm in from the edge, with softly rounded outer edges.

  • Austin: V-shaped grooves running top to bottom, 99mm apart, for a tongue-and-groove look. Wider doors get more grooves.

Sizes, colours and finishes

Every door and drawer front is 18mm vinyl-wrapped MDF, made to your sizes. Doors are made up to 2540mm high and 1200mm wide, and drawer fronts from 60mm high. Not sure how to measure? Follow our step-by-step measuring guide.

Choose from over 50 colours in five finishes: Supermatt, Paint Flow Matt, Satin, Woodgrain and Paint Ready. Paint Flow Matt has a light brushed texture, so it looks like a hand-painted door. Satin has a soft sheen, and Woodgrain has the look of real wood. Paint Ready is wrapped in a paintable vinyl, ready for you to paint or spray in any colour you like.

Ashford also comes in high gloss, in White, Cream, Light Grey, Dust Grey and Cashmere.

Drawer fronts on Austin carry the same vertical grooves, and Euroline drawer fronts carry the groove from 108mm high and wide. Ashford and Dalton drawer fronts are plain. Very narrow doors are made plain: under 196mm on Austin, 198mm on Ashford, 200mm on Dalton and 108mm on Euroline. Each product page says what applies to that range.

Questions about grooved kitchen doors

Will grooved doors fit my IKEA or Howdens units?
